Richard has been active in ministry since his university years starting as a volunteer leader in the youth ministry Young Life.
Richard has ministered as a teacher, pastor, and advisor in churches in more than a dozen churches outside the USA. He is fluent in Spanish, has an intuitive understanding of the Hispanic culture and maintains collegial and mutually respectful relationships with Christian leaders in many countries of Latin America.
Since 2002, Richard renewed his focus on relational ministry as an area director of Search Ministries. Together with his wife, Margarita, they began this style of relational ministry with the Hispanic community in their city and by invitation of pastors and churches expanded to other places in Latin America. In view of the expanding international focus they accepted an invitation to continue their ministry with TMS Global.
